Energy Sources & Uses
This page displays a collection of environmental and sustainability (green) online videos covering energy sources and uses. Video topics include renewable energy alternatives (solar energy, wind power, etc.), fossil fuels (oil, coal, etc.), energy conservation, and more.
How we produce and consume energy is one of the most critical environmental issues we face. The burning of traditional fossil fuels, such as oil and coal, contributes immensely to global warming. Extracting coal from the ground, such as in mountain top removal, also creates massive amounts of environmental degradation. There are many cleaner alternative energy technologies available, including wind turbines, solar panels, solar thermal, geothermal, and wave energy.
